Our Services
As a general dentist, Dr. Nunnally provides a variety of dental services for patients of all ages. He believes it is extremely important for patients to be seen for routine preventative dental care on a regular basis. This allows Dr. Nunnally and his team to be proactive and catch small problems before they become bigger issues. Maintaining regular routine hygiene visits will reduce your chances of gum disease and cavities.

-
Dental ExaminationA dental examination is an evaluation performed on a new or existing patient. Depending on the patient’s circumstance, an examination, can evaluate a new patient comprehensively, an existing patient for changes to their oral health, or evaluate a patient for an emergency and focus on a specific oral health complaint or concern. Most dental examinations include an oral cancer evaluation and a periodontal health assessment.
-
Dental CleaningA dental cleaning is the removal of plaque, tartar and stain from the teeth. Our office performs this service on adults as well as children. It is recommended that dental cleanings be performed once every 6 months unless you have a periodontal condition or other health issue that may require you to be seen more frequently.
-
RadiographsWe recommend diagnostic radiographs or x-rays to be taken on our patients routinely. They help our providers to evaluate your oral health. Depending on the type of images taken, x-rays can show decay, impacted teeth, fractures, infections, growths, cyst, and/or abnormalities.
-
SealantsMolar teeth have pits and grooves where plaque and bacteria can get trapped and cause tooth decay. Sealants are a thin, protective coating that is painted and then bonded to the biting surfaces of molar teeth. They are typically recommended for children once their 6 year old and 12 year old permanent molars erupt and reduce the risk of cavities by 80%.
-
FluorideWe recommend administering a prescription strength fluoride treatment to all of our pediatric patients at their dental hygiene visit. Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by making the teeth more resistant to acid attacks from plaque, bacteria and sugars. Fluoride can also be recommended for adult patients who are at a high risk of developing cavities.

Restorative Services
A tooth can become compromised if it breaks or if decay is found on x-rays or during a dental exam. Once Dr. Nunnally determines the severity of the break or the extent of the tooth decay, he can then recommend the best option or options to restore the tooth or teeth. There are different course of actions that can be taken depending on your circumstance.
